Been noticing that there is a St Marys deputy parked outside Dick's Sporting Goods. On weekday mornings. Has buying sports bras become that dangerous?

Ah...good question. I forgot about their aggressive virtue signaling phase because I never went back.
I was the Gun Guy at the DSG for which I was original crew in Rockford, IL, fulltime May 1996 - October 2002, part time, from then until February 2005. 2002 is for me, when Ed Stack, Dick's son, really started pushing his disdain for the hunting and non-hunting shooters, anglers and campers upon whose patronage Dick built the company. He's nouveau riche, and is more in love with the Soccer Mom - Country Club set. No real personal convictions from what I can tell, just likes to pander to what he sees as his desired profit center.
Couple that with cooking the books to go public, like cutting Full Time for keeping benefits to 30 hours a week, and then decreasing payroll. I was getting 45 - 50 hours a week, which meant, after the store manager was no longer able to protect my hours, new district manager was a company line hardnose, lost 1/3 - 1/2 my pay. That's why I ended up at Lowe's, never less than 38 hours a week, with overtime most weeks.
