between DVD-R and DVD+R? I'm starting to dabble in making slideshows and I want to record these to disc. So is there a difference or can I grab either and roll with it?

You have to use the disk that's compatible with your DVD drive (+ or -). Check in your device manager.

Thats how them b*tch's R
I think one you can record and re-record on it and the other you can only record once. I also think not every dvd player can use the one you can record on once. I asked about it at Staples but that was a while ago.

Thanks to both of yas. I pulled out the secret weapon *google* and then I pulled out the user's guide for help. Turns out I can use either. I was sort of wondering if a particular disc was better for specific apps (i.e, slide show vs. movie) but the +R sounds like the route to take according to google and the :directions:. :flowers: :howdy:

DVD+/-R = Write once
DVD+/-RW = Rewritable
