What's the going rate for renting rooms in So.Calvert?

I checked the ads here in the classifieds, but there's only 2 mentioned for Lusby.

What should I expect to get for a Master Suite? what about one of the smaller bedrooms?

I rented my entire "upstairs suite" (two bedrooms and a full bath) for $300 a month, but then again, I wasn't really looking for income. :shrug:

Are we talking full house priv., or simply a room? You splitting util. or including it in the rent?

try checking with one of the real estate agents over there, but the rate is anywhere from @ $600 a month on up, depending on the exact location (Solomons will cost easily @ $1000 + a month)

1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom with house privileges... splitting utilities. Offering limited storage in the basement.

I haven't decided yet to rent the master or one of the smaller ones.

Spend 75 cents and pick up a copy of the local paper (The Enterprise or The Calvert Recorder). Look at the classifieds - they're the same for either paper. It will give you a good idea what the going rate is.

Only bad part about dealing with agents is they get a cut out of it so it is going to cost you more $$$

It's my understanding that it only costs you if you list through them but they will give quotes for free.

At least based on the ads I've seen here both today and in months past, the going rate for St. Mary's seems to be about $100 higher than Calvert. You're in Calvert, right?

I just put the ad up for $500/mo.

I noticed in the Recorder this morning (and past issues) that the going rate for all counties for a room and a bath is $450 - $700. Most ads said utilities WERE included. Basement apartments were more expensive.

Actually I'm in St. Mary's but what I have seen is the closer you get to the base the higher the rent. Many people are looking in Calvert. You'll get $500 with not to much trouble. Be picky!!!
