You will notice they demand the right RESPECT the decisions of the court. They accuse the right of not respecting our courts and laws.

Why can't the Left JUST LET the people vote for or against Trump?
They bellyache about democracy but can anything be more democratic, than letting the people decide? Why is it SO NECESSARY to stop any means of letting him RUN? Why not just beat him at the ballot box?
They gripe about Dobbs, but Dobbs allowed people the right to choose in their own state, what the laws will be - whether to support, or NOT support, abortion - and THAT - is democracy.

Highly volatile emotion-based people like that shouldn't be making any decisions.
They know it works though - the world will end in 12 years is far more compelling than, you're doing irreparable damage to the ecosystem which will make the Earth less habitable in a few centuries.
It'd be much more truthful of them to say "we have no idea what we're talking about but we're worried the sky will fall and the world will end some day!"
I'm never sure IF these bozos - because they're NOT scientists and they don't know how this stuff works, no matter how many films and Powerpoint presentations they do - really have a grasp of it, at all. But they DO KNOW that unless it is URGENT, no one will move on it.
If you tell a smoker "this stuff is pretty likely to kill you in 40 years" - they will say "yeah, I'll take my chances".
Tell him it's more like TWO, they'll quit - or at least TRY, even if you're LYING to them.
Of course, if he DOESN'T die in ten years, he's never going to believe you. THAT is what climate change alarmists are facing.
And I see that as nothing more than manipulation to satisfy them.
People have known that smoking, drinking, overeating, mountain climbing, doing drugs...are dangerous for decades at least more likely centuries, why is it incumbent on society to rescue them from themselves? You be the version of you that you like and if you die (or partially die) well we hope you had a good time getting there.
I think you may have come in late to the discussion. The idea is that lefties MUST MAKE the case that their issue is totally urgent, going to die, the end of everything - and it's going to happen VERY VERY SOON - or you won't engage on it.
So it's not smoking - suppose I saw the foundation of your house and said "your house is going to collapse in 50 years" - you'd say, feh, I'll be dead in 50 years. If I said it will fall down by the end of the YEAR, I could motivate you - even though I am lying, and I KNOW I am lying. I just want to manipulate you (Kyle's word) to get action from you.
That's the case from the left - they can't get buy in from the masses, if they tell them that an issue will create a slowly building catastrophe that will end life in 200 years - nobody cares. But if it's more like *TEN YEARS*, you got them. They're afraid. And they will do stupid things like glue themselves to the road or throw paint on Stonehenge to get your attention. THEY bought the idea - they drank the Kool-Aid. They're panicking because YOU aren't on board.
BUT - like the smoker who was told he was going to die in two years - if TEN years goes by, you're not going to believe them, like - ever.
