When it's Republicans protesting - then it's an insurrection.
Marxists are trying to get sitting Republican Congress members disqualified from running for reelection by saying they participated in a rebellion against the government. To wit:
Fourteenth Amendment
Section 3
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Now. If anyone recalls, there were a large number of Democrat Congress members who incited riots and engaged in rebellion when Donald Trump was president. To the point that they were verbally and specifically encouraging violence against those who voted for him.
Advocating for fair honest elections, which is what the Jan 6 people were doing, shouldn't be a capital offense. In fact, those engaging in and supporting fraudulent elections are the ones who should be punished and blocked from holding office.
So now we know why the Democrats are insisting that Jan 6 was an "insurrection", even regarding those who were simply protesting and not entering the Capitol bldg. And why they're all getting the vapors and swooning, insisting they were terrified and feared for their lives.
It would be nice if the Republicans would grow a set and fight back against this, or at least support the handful of reps who ARE fighting against it. But they're a pack of cowards with squishy leadership, so there it is.
Left-wing ‘free speech’ group files suit to bar Marjorie Taylor Greene from re-election bid
