When old kitty dies...

Hubby said, no more cats after kitty dies. She is old and sometimes potties where she shouldn't. He said this about a year ago, and reminds me every now and then. Today I got an idea. When she leaves this earth plane, I am going to bury her quietly, go to the shelter and adopt a lookalike! She is a healthy 16 yo, so hopefully I won't have to put this plan into action any time soon. I also have an elderly bunny, gonna do the same thing.

That may seem like a good idea on the surface but all cats have their own personalities so exchanging your kitty for a lookalike is something I think he would notice if he has any interaction with kitty at all. Just my thoughts!!

I wanna be a SMIB
Heres a thought, tell him to pizz off and go get another kitty. Mine tried that when I first met him. Said he didnt want a cat, BTW, he has 5 now, so at first I statr by just mentioning all the baby kittens in the want ads, then after a couple weeks, I tell him Im just gonna call and see what they look like. Then a week or so later I tell him Im just going to stop by and look cause I feel sorry for all the baby kittys in the world. Then I just take one home and drop it on the floor and dont say a word. Hubby came home , copped a squat in the lazyboy and a few minutes later here comes the anklebiter down the hall. All thats usually required at this point is for hubby to pick up fluffball, and it was love at first sight. Any person who cant pick up an 8 week old kitten and fall in love immediatly is cold and heartless in my book. Now go fetch yourself a kitten. After all, he did say no more AFTER this one is gone. Fk him, get on while its still alive. I hate men that think they can stop me from haveing a pet. Every now and then mine still tries. I wish he would quit cause even I think 5 cats is enough but I swear every time he says no more, I add one more.

dont be dumb
my cat died a few months ago. I tried to flush it, but clogged the toilet. I just kept snaking the pipes till fluffy was finally scraped away and off to the sea!

My sister and BIL have been married 28 years. BIL absolutely refused to allow any pets. A few years ago their friends from out of town came and stayed with them. They brought their new kitty with them. BIL fell in love with new kitty. Sister immediately ran out and adopted a kitty. Lucky is now about 3 or 4 and BIL is absolutely crazy about this cat. He treats him just like his baby. Just goes to show ya, never know how things can change.

I say get a new kitty now and tell hubby it's to keep old kitty feeling young. Then when old kitty passes to kitty heaven, new kitty is already at home. :cheesy:
