Kain99 said:The Amish are so cool! They live in big farm style house throughout Northern St. Marys. Check out Rt. 5 outside of Leonardtown heading towards Rt. 235. On your right just in front of Third Base you will see the "Hen Yard!" You can get the coolest puppy food at the Hen yard! They'll even fix your lawn mower!
I love the Amish!![]()

Finally someone is honest with her.nomoney said:Some live on the base in an amish internment camp that was set up in the early 1940s to provide homeade bread and jams for the troops. They get work visa's and are allowed to travel off the base during certain hours to sell produce.
Toxick said:Amish homes aren't easily distinguishable from regular old farmhouses. They don't live in log cabins or anything like that.
But a trek through the backroads of Charlotte Hall and Mechanicsville you'll see peppered with lots of amish farmhouse and barns.
I don't know about windmills, and I've never seen their carriages left out front. But if a house doesn't have any electric/phone cables running towards it, it's probably amish.
