Where is Medley's Neck Road

I googled it on a driving directions map and got as far as fairgrounds round and something about continuing on 244 - I have no idea where 244 is but I'm fairly certain I've never seen a church on Fairgrounds. Medley's Neck sounds so familiar but I can't place where.

Looking for Our Lady?
Wait a minute, it just occurred to me that it sounded so familiar because I just passed it today on the way to Fenwick Street. If I was coming up Route 5 towards Leonardtown and got to the traffic light at Route 5 and Fairgrounds - Medley's Neck would be on my left?

Yes - Our Lady - a friend of mine just died. I haven't seen her in years and ran into her a month or so ago at the bone doctors. Shocked that she had lung cancer I think - didn't even recognize her. I was really hoping for a miracle - really nice gal and way too young.

Yes (assuming you're coming from the south).

So sorry for the loss of your friend. :huggy:

The church is a couple of miles down Medley's Neck Road (Route 244) on the right. My mom is interred there along with her parents and an aunt, plus a lot of other relatives. Very old church with lots of members.

Thank you Jazz. I hate getting old - it's hard to see people you think should live forever just don't and I know I don't have that long - depressing.

Anyhoo I'll have to take a walk through there at a better time - I like the history in this area.

She and I work(ed) for the same company...she was my age. I've known her and her husband for 20+ years. Unfortunately, I will not be in town for her services. Leave the Leonardtown school complex to your left at the Fairgrounds/Rt5 intersection and you'll eventually get there. If I remember correctly, if you get to the Breyer's ice cream sign, you went a little too far, I think...been a few years since I've been over that way.

Thank you. I worked with her and Tom as well when Wyle was just Wyle. Really great person, so is Tom.
