Where the best PUBLIC snow sleding hills?

Are there really any public sledding hills around here? I just assumed it would be too much of a liability for anyone to open up the use of their land for the public to use for sledding. Last year we went to that hill behind Little Flower once but I don't think it's actually allowed

The golf course at Wicomico Shores... Huge hills and baby hills! It's always packed!

I don't think there are. Try Dorsey park - if you can get in, I heard once that Breton Bay Golf club opened their course up to sledders but it would probably take more snow then this to have that happen. Can't think of any other hills, let alone public ones.

Never thought of Ryken but then again that's not exactly "public"

Rocky Mountain High!!
My kid popped her snow tube plummeting downhill in the woods. She was especially bummed when I told her there was a HARD PLASTIC yellow one in the barn :lmao:

Pegg road, just about half way down on the right side if you are coming from 235. on the right side just before the townhouses with the road that runs over to great mills road. Look for a path from people walking into the woods.
Its a very steep hill with lots of trees so you wil want something that you can steer, but if it snows enough, they usually buils up the sides so tubes and saucers can use it too.

Dayum I am a wet blanket. . . but this forum serves folks from three counties in Maryland (plus some friends from non-Maryland areas). You might help us by telling us approximately where you are. That'll make it easier to tell you where sledding hills are and how to get there. Being new to your area means that many descriptions of place names may be meaningless to you.
