Hi All, New to the area and was wondering if anyone could recommend places to buy a nice/reasonably priced bedroom set. Thanks in advance!

Where are my pants?
Try Regency Furniture.

It's up past Waldorf....they're the distribution center for all of the other furniture stores around here, so by going straight there you cut out the middle man and get a better deal. Additionally, the warehouse is HUGE---they've got a huge selection.

Spouse and I just bought a new set there for our guest room....Queen bed, dresser w/mirror, chest of drawers, two nightstands, box-spring and mattress for about $1,500. Pretty good deal, I'd say.

Try Traditions of Loveville in Loveville, MD. It's about 5 miles north of Leonardtown on Route 5. It's a cool store with furniture and other fine furnishings. The building is old. It used to be a General Store and the old Post Office in Loveville.

They have some more high end items but some really good buys on some cool furniture. They have a really cool, queen sized, Sleigh Bed right inside the front door.

You order all types of furniture from different furniture companies.

My wife and I have purchased a wide variety of furniture from Traditions of Loveville (301-475-8280).

It's cool store and they have great prices on the higher quality type of items that they sell.

:yeahthat: VERY large variety, and when I popped in there a couple weeks ago, they had very good prices on various items. :yay:

Thank you

Thanks to those who replied. We actually went this afternoon and got an AMAZING deal at Carolina Furniture in Waldorf! I'm so happy with our purchase and can't wait until next week when we receive it! Thank you again for your suggestions and I'll probably be posting alot more questions.

By the way, welcome to the area! Although some people may be a little critical of Southern Maryland, I think it's a great place to live and work. Friendly people....

I hope you like it here and enjoy these forums. They are a great source of information. The classifieds on somd.com are great too!

I hope we enjoy our time here. We actually just moved from Japan. We were there since 2001! I just got out of the Navy after nine years and my husband is still in, now stationed at PAX. Out of all of the foreign countries I've been to and lived, I have to say southern MD is the biggest culture shock! I'm originally from Chicago and NEVER lived anywhere so rural before. Mennonite people and their horses are my neighbors, we have to drive a ways to to grab something "quick" etc... All in all though, I'm glad we're here and I plan to make the best of it.
