You may want to crop the first image a little different. Look up the Rule of Thirds, it may make it a better image than it is now.

Yes, I'm definitely going to crop some of the bottom out.

I put the horizon on the bottom third line, and lined the silo up with the left third line. How would you crop it?

I would do it like you did and do one with the silo on the right side third. and see which looks better.
