Which NFL Game is the Biggest Upset??

As of about 5 minutes ago, the NY Giants were leading the Minnesota Vikings by the score of 34 to 0! I don't think the Giants have scored 34 points the last 3 games combined:shrug: , and now they bust out with this?

That's like in zip, nada, zilch for the Vikings! Who would have predicted that?

I could sooo really go for that!! Go Steelers!

At this point, if the Beagles don't get knocked off soon, they're gonna be unstopable.

Eagles/Steelers could be...

...a Super Bowl preview.

The Giants can actually be considered the second best in the NFC and may give the Eagles a run for their money. :yikes:

The Pats have done what they had to do to get past the consensus up and coming, Indianapolis, both this year earlier and of course in the AFC championship game last year but the Steelers flat out dominated all over yesterday.

The The Jet's are worth watching. Indy and the Chiefs simply don't have the defense to go all the way. Baltimore has got to have SOME help from the offense and at least proved the Eagles can be stopped. Jacksonville might be the Panthers of this year.

I'll take the Steelers to go all the way at this point. Roethlesburger did not seem to be fazed by the Pats complex D, at all, and of course the power running game they have is always nice.

Unless, of course, the Skins get it turned around... :otter:

As in rose-colored glasses!

From now on, I might suggest you consult one of those women that can read tarot cards, so you might get a more reliable tip on how the 'Skins are going to fare.

I don't think they've played up to their expectations, so far. But it's still early.

...how can you, Giant fan of all things, say that? Rose colored. Blah.

Nobody can predict how the ball, or the Micheal Moore ref, will bounce.

Take last year, I think week 2. Your beloved 'Ants had the boys BEAT and two plays, the kick off going out of bounds and then the bomb leading to the field goal with what, 2 seconds left, and your season went down hill from there. Yes?

You know darn well things would have been different last year for your guys, more than just another win.

The Skins could easily be 7-0 or 6-1 giving you the Giants game.

Look at the Raiders at Pats in the snow what, 4 years ago, in the playoffs.

Chuckie and his boys got robbed, should have been in the Super Bowl and
went downhill from there. Fickle, fickle game for being so violent.

That's what I claimed Gibbs would bring, the one play here or there and I submit to you, absent the travesties, 2 of them, vs. the Boys, who knows?

Hell, they could have still lost yesterday even if the ref swallowed the flag, BUT the ref robbed more than the SKins. He robbed the fans of another possible Favre heroic finish or perhaps the Skins making just one more play on D, maybe propelling us to a season like the Ravens when they won it all.

In any event, Gibbs has done it right. The players are saying they are a team, win or lose, that they ALL could make one more play, whatever it takes. They seem to mean it.

Sitting Taylor was the right thing to do.

Staying with Brunnel tells everybody you are judged by effort and it's true, Brunnel has played his guts out.

So anyway, this just sux but a different sux from the last few years.

Arghh......

I actually like the Patriots- but if anyone was going to beat them, I'm glad it was the Steelers.

The Steelers and the Eagles kind of have a "home state" rivalry- especially for those of us who grew up in Central PA.

I have to say (and not just because I'm a Steelers fan), Eagles fans are the WORST fans I've ever seen, and the most annoying with their little spelling chant. Yay, they can spell Eagles. See what an inner city public education will do for you!!?

Of course if they live in Filth-a-delphia, what can you expect?

The thing is, and it's painfully obvious for anybody reading these comments, is that every week you guys have got an excuse as to why the 'Skins lost!

Sure, I won't say there have not been some bad ref calls against the team, but there have been other factors as well. And they've been repeated as Sonny and Charles Mann refered to yesterday in the postgame show:

Time out management - got to do better(again)

Time getting the plays called, and into Brunell- the communications problem(again)

Brunell overthrowing his receivers - he's getting hurried, and his decision whether to "eat the ball" or throw it at a receiver has been shakey.(somewhat, but it's been there before)

What is new, they said, was that the defense was having problems yesterday in coverage that they didn't have in the first 6 games.

They also made mention that last week was a bye week, and they should have had the time to "get things fixed", but they're still haunting them.

So, where do they go from here?

Now hold on a minute...

...what happens to everyone else is an excuse

every week you guys have got an excuse

What happens to us is a reason

A few more loses and I may well be willing to suggest that perhaps, maybe I expected a bit to much but...that's crap! Everything that could go wrong has and, damnit, that's what's screwing us up!

Anyway, Brunnel is, by the words of oppossing defensive players, coaches and other NFL 'football' people, simply not what he was nor what Gibbs was counting on.

The 'book' on us is 8 or 9 up close to shut down Portis and make Brunnel beat you. He's made some clutch throws and played his heart out but he ain't getting it down and has made plenty of mistakes a vet ain't suppossed to.

Where do we go? It's time for Ramsey. Now. He's got to be in there to get 'there'.

Gibs is right to stick with Mark because he isn't the sole problem BUT, as things haven't gone well, we gotta get Pat in the game, especially because Brunnel is definitley not next years guy.

Oh I'm sure there's enough ignorance out there to get around to an individual or two that can twist it enough to be able to give Him credit for the educational system as well.

And yea, I can spell. Occasionally I can add too. Usually on Sundays in the fall. Wierd.
