A federal judge based in Mississippi has released a scorching order expressing frustration with the Supreme Court's Second Amendment opinion issued last summer and ordered the Justice Department to brief him on whether he needs to appoint an historian to help him decipher the landmark opinion.

Says we cant know what old rich white guys had in mind regarding gun rights, so he needs a historian to guide him.

Bitch, its quite simple, those old white dudes literally wrote down what they thought. In the Constitution, and in quite a few letters and other writings. You don't need to be a historian.

So we have two possibilities - he hasn't done his homework - or he knows and hopes YOU WON'T.
Because the right to bear arms is all over that time in history and in other state constitutions and documents discussing its merits.

Isn't this why most judges have staff, or clerks as they call them? Can't these legal minions do the necessary research for the affirmative action hire? Also, I hear the Library of Congress maintains a plethora of original historical documents, many of it hand written by the very people involved in the drafting of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, just sitting there waiting to be read. And, of which, most can be assessed online nowadays requiring no trip to Washington D.C..
