White House Easter Egg Roll

Has anybody been succesful getting online tickets today? I got as far as the confirmation step (it took almost 20 minutes from the point of selecting tickets) and mysteriously was kicked off due to an error. I haven't been able to get even as far as being able to select a ticket since. Very frustrating, I would rather have camped out on the Ellipse for tickets like they have done in previous years.

I clicked on the link and followed the instructions and got this...

"Tickets for the 2009 White House Egg Roll are no longer available at this time. Tickets will be available at various times throughout the day. If you are unable to order tickets at this time, please check back later. "

Thanks for posting! I've never tried to do anything like that... actually didn't even know who were the kids that got to go Easter Egg Hunting at the White House each year.
I went to the website at different times throughout the day yesterda and at some point I got to the page where you should select the time you would like to go and then how many tickets you needed. I tried every single selection, and for every single one I got "no tickets available for that selection" or something like that.
Oh, well .... I tried ....

I heard on Channel 9 news this morning that the tickets are all gone. :ohwell:

Yes, last night, at some point, instead of getting the msg saying to try again later, it said there were no more tickets.:bawl:
On the teaser for the news this morning when they were talking about this, they then showed an image of a Craigslist page and said that you still might have a chance to get tickets ...
I wonder how many people got the tickets to sell them ...

I felt foolish checking in on the website throughout the day without success. I had no luck getting tickets when they were released at around 2:15pm (thank goodness my boys were napping at the time) and later between 7-8pm I was busy putting our kids to bed and missed the third and final time tickets were available.

The press releases prior to the online event led me to believe the public would be registering for a lottery and would be notified later if tickets were awarded but I guess their definition of lottery was to randomly offer tickets three times during the day. Boy was it frustrating to go through the slow 4-step process to get tickets and get kicked out at the confirmation page more tan once!

Oh well, better luck next year. I am still wondering if anybody from Southern MD managed to get tickets.
