I watched construction company foreman's come into the shelter looking for people who wanted to work for $25 an hr and leave with no one, I asked one guy why and he said "Why I'm already getting paid by being here doing nothing, I was disgusted!!!

Jackson and Sharpton have done a lot for the black comunity. I do relize they do almost all of their work for the black comunity. Which is fine. They have the rite to choose wich portion of the comunity to direct their efforts to. I for one would vote for Al Sharpton if he was runin for office.

I'm no RACIST, but I'm extremely prejudice of thieves, no loads, corrupt politicians, career welfare recipients, knocked-up underage teenagers with no "baby daddy" and dumb asses who don't take advantage of the educational systems we have in place that will get you out of the rut you're in.

And any black American who thinks Obama is going to knock on their door and change their lives better learn how to work the deep fat fryer because that's the only progress they will be able to look forward too.

Why is it we have so many legal immigrants come to this country, and in 1-10years learn a new language, culture, become educated, own businesses, become senators, governors, etc and we have others who have been here their whole lives and think they can solve their social problems by handouts, pointing fingers but take no personal responsibility for their own demise...

Last I checked, the National Guard no longer has to escort students to schools, the doors are wide open, if you're looking to blame someone, start with the man in the mirror...

Oh and I'm Hispanic so this isn't coming from "Whitey", I endured the same hardships you described and many different ones, I was raised inner city, high school drop out, etc... The only difference was I decided to do something about it...
