Townhall.com::Congress' New Role: Undermining U.S. Foreign Policy::By Victor Davis Hanson

The president establishes American foreign policy and is commander in chief. At least that’s what the Constitution states. Then Congress oversees the president’s policies by either granting or withholding money to carry them out — in addition to approving treaties and authorizing war.

But recently hundreds in Congress have decided that they’re better suited to handle international affairs than the State Department.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Nancy Pelousy or Harry (dipstick) Reid want to run the country they should run for the Presidency, if there is anything left of it after the Democrats destroy what they can of it.

Yes: Well the one before him was no great shakes either.

It doesnt a Congress of either party the authority to subvert the Constitution.

These people who supposedly represent us should know the rules much better than the rest of us. When they undermine the Constitutional authority of the President , they undermine the country. They are Traitors . plain and simple.

:lmao: what was wrong with clinton besides wanted to get blown now and again (...and thats not even a negative against him in my book :lmao: )

I agree, congress shouldn't go against consitutional rights, but they are in place so that if the president effs up (see George dubya) the whole country won't go to ruin.

Other than allowing Bin laden to escape 4 times and promising to bring the bombers of the USS Cole to justice and doing nothing?
Other than selling space secrets to the Chinese?
Other than pardoning terrorists and selling rooms at the White House.' Etc. Etc.. Etc..

You mean those things that were wrong with Clinton?
