But wait, there's more...
War protester Cindy Sheehan's group buys land in Crawford, Texas

CRAWFORD, Texas Peace activist Cindy Sheehan has bought up a plot of land not far from President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas.A supporter bought the five-acre lot in Sheehan's name with money she received after her son was killed in Iraq. It's located about seven miles from the Bush ranch.

This is just further proof she's a POS antagonist! I doubt she'd have eyed Crawford had she not been the poster child for liberal idiocy. :duh:

The story goes, according to Fox News - that a third party, posing as a Hurricane Katrina victim, purchased the property, then in turn sold the same acreage to Ms. Sheehan.

Isn't that cute!?!

The Judge - Nepolitano(sp?) on Fox was saying if it could be proved that the third party - who claimed to be a victim of Katrina knowingly sold the property to Ms. Sheehan, to get a bargain on the $$$ deal, then there could be a case of fraud.

In any case, the original owner of the 5 acres was pizzed off when she found out who eventually wound up with the deed to the property!

Poor Cindy. Now she has to pay taxes on a piece of land that is pretty useless to her two years from now. I hope she is stuck with it Meantime who cares., She is a nauseating woman who has actually gained weight on her fast. By now she should have spent most of her son's Military Insurance money, hopefully when its gone Cindy will dissappear back into the moribund, pitiful life she came from. Loved by no one ,used by code pink and the liberals.

She may still make a guest appearance in the next Michael Moore box office smash. He is pretty desperate for material, after all.

Sounds like it's time for Bush to ask Cheney over to his ranch for some hunting with the new neighbors. :yay:

Comcast has an article on this.....

CRAWFORD, Texas - Like many folks in President Bush's adopted hometown, 83-year-old Robert Westerfield isn't exactly rolling out the welcome mat for the town's newest resident: war protester Cindy Sheehan.

"I wish she'd stay away. Crawford's a Republican town, and she's a dumb Democrat," Westerfield, a lifelong Crawford resident, said Friday while sitting on a bench outside a gas station on Main Street.

It's going to be interesting to see what she does with this plot of land, now that she owns it.

The article did not mention if there was a dwelling - a house - or anything.

Where is she going to get the financial support to build a home there? As far as I've heard, she does not have a job.

She's just going to use the land to hold her protests. She certainly has money from her book deal and movie rights. The problem is that Crawford is a true wide spot in the road - there is NOTHING there. The "main drag" consists of two gift shops, one restaurant, a post office and a gas station, and that's all there is. There might have been a feed and grain store or something.

So it's not like she's going to live there and build a life. And she's going to have a hard time attracting protestors and reporters, except for the mega diehards, because there's just flat nothing there and most people at least want a place to sleep and something to eat.

I think it would be ridiculous to build a home there because Bush stays in town only a few weeks each year. Even when he is there, I doubt she will greatly impede his vacation.

Her first protest may grab some attention, but I think her story is pretty much exhausted. Most people can not afford to abandon their normal lives for long stretches and at great distances. Oh, perhaps JPC will go!

Apparently the reporters that went to Lincoln, NE to cover the lottery winners a few months ago were fairly disgruntled at having to be there in "redneckville". And Lincoln's a real city with shopping, restaurants, cultural arts, etc. So I'm curious what reporters think when they have to make the trek to Crawford.

Quoted from newsmax.com:

"Someone needs to put in a hog farm close by, or build a dog kennel so the dogs would yelp all night. If I were the people of Crawford I would not make it easy on these fools, I would not let them have one peaceful nights rest."

Gawd, I have driven by hog farms in N. Carolina I think, and when the wind blows just right - whee-eeww! :lmao:

I would not care since I would be getting paid. Better that than doing a story in gang territory or something.
