Anyway, trying to figure out where exactly that line in the sand is with the Joos. Apparently the Whoop-ster shuffled over it.

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended following her controversial remarks about the Holocaust.

"Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments," ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a statement Tuesday evening. "While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments."

"The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends and communities," Godwin added.

It has been proven time and time again that if a white person spouts a racial slur he/she is fired on the spot. Why only a 2 week suspention?

I am no fan of Whoopi but I have to agree with this statement here. Cancelling someone because of a factual statement just because it hurts some feelings is BS! Regardless of what their views are.

If it were just about anyone but Whoopi, someone from the View, or a handful of shrill leftie pundits - I’d defend them. The reason we have freedom of speech - among other reasons - is so people can discuss and learn from differing views even if they’re total bullchit. That’s why I keep my sig line. LET people say stupid stuff. Discussion isn’t promoted when everyone agrees.

But she and others with her have been in the vanguard of cancel culture. The idea that says you just shouldn’t be PERMITTED to say some things. You can’t JUST be scorned and ridiculed. You must be silenced also.

So for this I’m satisfied she’s getting two weeks - all too short - of what she’s been doling out for years.

I didn't think Whoopi's statement was anything so bad that she should be suspended over it.
And to be sure she is partially right. The holocaust was man's inhumanity to man.
But Whoopi should have known better.
The Jews run the entertainment industry ,attack them and it's your ass.

They may not control the violence in New York, and they may not control a lot of other things, but they have the entertainment industry by the balls.

Yesterday, celebrated actor and TV host Whoopi Goldberg caused a minor meltdown on ABC’s The View when she asserted that the Holocaust “isn’t about race.” Later that day, she joined The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and expanded on these remarks in an uncomfortable exchange, insisting that “the Nazis were white people, and most of the people they were attacking were white people.”

As countless commentators pointed out, this line of thinking is profoundly mistaken. The Nazis were obsessed with race and defined the Jews as their racial inferiors, which is how they justified exterminating them. This is why the Nazis targeted anyone with a Jewish grandparent, regardless of whether the person identified as Jewish or not. Nazism was a blood-based doctrine of racial supremacy, and its consequence was the genocide of the Jews. The very term anti-Semitism, which casts Jews in racial terms, was popularized by a German anti-Jewish activist who wanted to give his hatred a scientific sheen. Race is a social construct, and this is how it was constructed in Nazi Germany and much of Europe.

To her credit, Goldberg apologized last night on Twitter, and then again this morning on The View, alongside Jonathan Greenblatt from the Anti-Defamation League, who talked through the issue with the panelists.

Jewish people are protected by a law against racial discrimination in employment decisions, a federal magistrate judge has concluded in siding with a football coach suing a private Baptist college in Louisiana.

The nation’s highest court hasn’t defined what “race” means under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, U.S. Magistrate Mark Hornsby said in a court filing Friday. But he concluded that Jewish citizens have been treated as a racial or ethnic group entitled to the law’s protection against employment discrimination.

“Modern sociologists and anthropologists, especially with advancements in DNA studies, debate whether Judaism is a people, a religion, or both. There is no doubt, however, that many people have and continue to view being Jewish as a racial identity,” Hornsby wrote.

Well: There is that, but is she any different than the rest of her race?
Do many whites not see the killings in Detroit as Blacks killing Blacks?
Whoopi is a racist, we all know that.
She has racist views she is on The View to espouse her views, so why suspend her when she does.?

Then again Howard Cosell and Jimmy the Greek were destroyed for making mistakes in their discussions so why shouldn't Whoopi face the same destruction.?
I don't see it as a big deal, Just Whoopi being Whoopi, and I don't watch her show anyway.
