Sounds a lot worse than mistaking a Peabody award for a Pulitzer. Hey Al, that thudding sound you're hearing is your credibility leaping out the window and smacking the pavement.

Serious, Bru - Franken is a comedian (or would be if he was funny). No credibility there. This latest little trick reminds me of Stutterin' John's celebrity interviews - "Do you ever fart in front of company and blame it on the dog?"

I hate to disagree with you fine folks, but publishers don't invest thousands of dollars into publishing two books for a guy unless he has some credibility with someone... a lot of someones actually. There are more than enough Republican haters who think that this doofus is their voice in the wilderness.

Bru, we have already discussed this. There is a segment of our population that gets it's news from fictional material, such as books, songs, movies, etc. They won't go away. Unless you want to help elect me Dictator of the World - then I'll fix 'em.

Franken is an idiot. He appeals to other idiots. Idiots that think Oliver Stone and Spike Lee make documentaries.

All I'm sayin' is that people are buying his books... he's a frequent guest on the "fair and balanced" news networks (I mean CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS of course)... he's at the podium at major media events... he may be a baffoon and a fool, and any other names you care to throw at him, but he's also a bonofide mouthpiece for the Left. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, swims like a duck.

I watched him and O'Reilly go at it at that book fair, and there were a lot of people in the audience applauding what Franken was saying, so I think the theory that there are only "a few fringe" people who listen to what he says is false. Franken has a message of hate and distrust for everything to the right of himself, and that's a pretty popular message for most Liberals. But, more to the point, I watched Franken badger O'Reilly over one mis-statement that O'Reilly made, that even the other Liberals said was an easy mistake to make. Franken kept calling O'Reilly a liar over and over again, and I think this bit about the false letter really shows who's lying to make a point.

But we knew that. And doesn't it make you laugh to think the best the libs can do is to trot out some comedian to make their leftists "points"? It's a "and there you have it" moment. Like when Geraldo had Jim Bakker, Susan McDougal and Larry Flynt all on the same show, sticking up for Bill Clinton and saying what a wonderful man he is.


Some moron like Oliver Stone makes a movie and suddenly he's the new expert on the Vietnam War. Martin Sheen plays a President on TV and people want to elect him as the real one. Some tard like Franken writes a slam book and he's booked on every lib talk show (like CNN) in America. It proves my theroy over and over - that liberals are a bunch of lazy idiots who can't think so they just regurgitate what some talk show guest says.
