Why are the Republicans so hateful?

Simple, we all get money for it. To maintain our membership in the GOP we have to exploit a poor person at least 1 time a week, but no more than 5 times a week and you can only exploit 1 poor person twice in a 5 day period. We have to keep our incomes above $250,000 a year. We have to listen to country music and drive a domestic automobiles. We have to attack EVERY democratic initiative. We must loathe Pelosi and Reid. We have to eat a conservative/elitist approved diet that consists of Brie, oysters, lobster and caviar at least once a month. We must all go to an approved church.

If we do all those things we can get a cut of the GOP monthly wealth redistribution program.
:yay:

Why are all your posts filled with racism? (Hybrid, Bro...etc.) and hate?
Why do you just attack attack attack?
Can u please just discuss an issue?
A civilized discussion/debate is what we need, not mudslinging and name calling.

How about health care? What do you think?

I think health care in this country is out of control.
I also believe it is a right and not a privilege.
For profit health care allows public companies to determine whether you live or die based on a quarterly income statement.
I believe it's a right, too. I believe every US citizen has the right to decide HOW they want to handle their own healthcare, including paying for it.

If you decide to find a job with an employer who will offer that as a benefit - and are able to do that - great. But if you don't - I believe you have the obligation to get out there and figure out a way to do it on your own! I don't believe you then have the right to whine to everyone around you and the government about not having it. I'm a divorced mother with 2 kids and I pay for my OWN health care. If I can do it - so can everyone else.

Now call me a socialist or call me whatever makes u feel good.
I would just like to know how you feel about this issue.
What are your thoughts/experiences?
JayZee
The way I feel and my experience with this issue is - if you (I mean in general, "you" - not you, personally) are asking ME to pay for YOUR healthcare because you don't have an employer *willing* to offer that as a benefit - then that's considered socialism.

I have no earthly idea why I have to contribute to other people's healthcare, when I pay for my own & they don't contribute to mine. :looking around for any indication that someone is paying for mine: Nope. I still pay for my own.

Was I polite enough?

...no it's not. The government is there to protect our rights; the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Health care is not a right. Neither is a house. or food. Or clothing. Or free TV.

...of course it wouldn't which is primae facie evidence that it is a GREAT idea.

See, this all goes back, in my view, to things like political financing. A company, a union, a lobbying group of any stripe should be allowed to buy all the ads they like and argue to you and me that what they want is a good idea.

However, they should NOT be able to give a penny to a candidate or a party because those candidates and those parties HAVE to be beholden to we, the people, and we, the people, first, last and always in order for our politics to be any more than a charade we're allowed to participate in so we'll keep quiet.

So, when we say this insurance stuff is all BS, our reps are stuck listening to us because all that lobbyist money won't be there to bail them out when we run some under financed candidate up against them for not listening to us.
:yay: to that! Well the whole thing really but mainly that.

Obama destroyed America
Why are the Republicans so hateful?
Hateful? Hmmmm.... I don't think we're hateful.

I mean, we have never once attacked Obama's little girls.

Can the democrats say the same about Palin's little girls?? Hmmmm....???

Thanks to those of you that responded to my question/statement/thoughts on health care.

I hope that we can somehow figure a way to lower costs to all of us responsible, tax paying, country loving, and insured Americans.

Not sure how/who/why/what, but its nice to hear some other opinions.

I think the answer is..

We're angry because we actually give a #### about this country, and can see where it's going.

We aren't drawn in by a smile and charisma, which seems to be the only thing that matters to most voters.

And the thought of Pelosi, Reid and Obama going unchecked, and making irreversible decisions for his country for the next four years SHOULD scare the hell out of everybody.

chernmax

NOT Politically Correct!!
The Democrats are so confident and brazen with an Obama win that Sen Barney Franks feels comfortable in telling what the Democrats have planned!!!

you mean they aren't "real americans" as the (R)'s have come to call themselves....

i think it is ridiculous to think that these folks are any less concerned about our country than you. they just have a different opinion.

And the picture becomes much more clear. Yet Americans are pushing forward with a BO/Dem Congress platform and unafraid. It's hard to see the cliff in front of you when you have a blindfold on.

I'll be the first to buy the

"Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" Sticker if Obama wins.

Pelosi? Reid? Kennedy? Obama? Hillary?

Of course only you Bob and the Republican party give a ### about this country. I would like to thank you and your squad for the past 8 years, great job.

We aren't drawn in by a smile and charisma, which seems to be the only thing that matters to most voters.

Is that not important to you? Is aloofness acceptable and required for a Republican leader. To me it makes us as a nation look weak and its leaders uniterested in how American citizens are doing (see GWB)

Yeah they will probably fold the military and give everyone food stamps.
Your attacks and scare tactics won't work, the american people are aware of your track record and ignore your venom. Sorry :frown:

The Daily Show did a great bit on "real americans" last night. the punch line being that Mccain will get elected president of the "real americans" while Obama will be the POTUSA.

I dont see what the republicans think they are going to gain by alienating voters.

Name one outstanding achievement of Obama.
Name one plan of his that won't make things worse.

Good luck.
