Why does it take a pandemic?

everyone gets all sappy and fuzzy feelings about people going out of their way to help and I'm like why tf does it take a pandemic or Christmas time to get people to come together?
I’d like to do more but people suck. The more you give, they more they want. Now that Gov.Hogan has declared we must stay at home, we can easily say “F charity, F volunteering” we have to stay home for the betterment of all. Not that I personally do, but now its an easy out for anyone to use.
The volunteers of the community really are some of the ones taking the highest risk for their fellow man. The volunteer fire and rescue services in the tri-county area have not shut down or suspended service, they still answer when a call comes in. Maybe we should be more appreciative, more often.

guess I'll get back to the business of being down in the dumps again.

Its a beautiful day and the sun should be out. Go play in the garden, go for a walk, bike ride, hump the neighbor. Do something fun and get your mind off the news and their doom and gloom BS,

Times like this, you definitely see the best and worst of humanity.

There sure does seem to be a lot of that going on. Rumor is Lowes is almost out of mulch.
What is weird is I saw stacks and stacks of mulch at the Weis in PF. When did grocery stores start selling mulch???

Yup. Last time was 9/11. Everyone came together... U.S. Flags were waving, blah blah blah.... It won't last.

There's a house in my neighborhood that has probably a hundred flag everywhere - hanging, stuck in the ground, among all her Easter decorations. At least she's not flying them upside down yet.
There is one house on a main road that has the US flag, the MD flag, the Police/Blue Line flag, a MIA/POW flag and I think one other all lined up along their porch railing.
