Each time I enter the forum, I get a cookie planted in IE. That's 'cause I can't enter a forum without cookies being enabled.

Why in heaven's name (a southern expression ONLY) does somd.com need cookies planted on every Jane & Joe who comes to take a peek?

If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd love to hear it.

da boom, again

Cookies are planted to facilitate your browsing experience. If you don't want our cookies :)humpf:) just go into your browser's privacy settings and put us on the blacklist.

If cookies are "planted," wouldn't they better be called "seeds?"

Do NOT need my browsing experience facilitated, enhanced, nor any other feel-good thing that's being done 'for me.' I know what cookies are, I wanna know why THEY need to track me.

Well you do, my dear, if you are going to browse the forums.

Just put us on your blocked list - what's the big deal?

Well, ours only track where you go on here so when you click the "New Posts" it knows what to show you - dinky stuff like that.

The only benefit to us is that it also tracks your IP so if you cause an insane amount of trouble I can complain to your ISP. We've only had to do that once in nine years that I remember.

 Vrai and Larry are using the cookies to harvest our credit card information even as I type this. I saw Larry driving around Thurmont in a brand-new Escalade.
