Why today’s young men are terrified of sex

For Orenstein, who’s spent two decades writing about the sexuality of girls — with bestsellers like “Girls & Sex” and “Don’t Call Me Princess” — Mason’s predicament was difficult to take seriously at first.

Like many of us, she bought into the cultural stereotypes “that all guys are sexually insatiable,” she writes. “Ever ready, incapable of refusal, regret, or injury” — an idea that just reinforced “the most retrograde idea of masculinity.”

Dylan, 17, is a high-school junior in Northern California. He’s handsome, athletic, a straight-A student, and captain of the soccer team.

He was also, until recently, a virgin.

He had drank too much at a friend’s party and passed out on a couch. That’s where his friend Julia, who was sober, found him. She dragged Dylan, stumbling, to the bathroom and had sex with him on the floor.

The next morning, Dylan was horrified and asked Julia why she forced herself on him. “I didn’t want to do that,” he told her, insisting that he wanted his first time to be special.

“Oh, please,” she shot back. “Don’t give me that. All guys want it.”

It was a bias that even Orenstein admits to having. She was shocked by how often the boys shared stories of being on the receiving end of unwanted sex, “in which girls didn’t hear or didn’t respect ‘no,’ ” Orenstein writes.

This is a good article. As far as date rape charges, the complaint would have to be filed by the victim and there is a not a man alive that would ever do that. The "talk" is a helluva lot different nowadays as opposed to what is was when I was a youngin'.

I can't get the link up from here, I'll try later (pun intended).
But I see a point, I don't know if it's unwanted attention, but it could be fear of the unknown. What happens if the woman has buyers remorse and decides to file charges. What happens if there was a drink or two. The guy decides he really isn't in to her and she gets PO'd.
The "Me Too" crap has really pushed it over the edge. When do you know the woman is capable of consent or has given consent, do you take out a breath meter, and have her sign a consent form with a witness? How about age? I know this has come up, but it's no longer a joke, girls are developing physically at a younger age. Some say it's do to things that have been added to our food. But in any case, physical appearance is not always a reliable determination of age. Does the guy ask for a driver's license as proof of age before consenting?

I can see their point. Laws and how they are being enforced have taken a big swing to the other way, they are heavily biased in favor of women.
The pendulum swung past "fair".
