Win 7 Antivirus 2012

My son got this little beauty of malware on his PC. I have searched and tried almost everything for the past 2 days trying to clean it up. This has to be the most difficult virus I've ever had to deal with.

Has anyone else had success getting rid of it? If so, please share.

Thanks Rose. I saw that thread and am going to try it when I get home. It looks like it could be a different problem, but could still have the same solution.

on a side note i'm a computer tech, but yeah my son got it on his computer too, I did manage to get rid of it, but in the process of getting rid of it I damaged the registry, will work on repairing that later, or just do a fresh install of win 7, but yeah its a nasty little bugger, good luck, I used malwarebytes anti malware, and I had to follow steps I found online, as it stops you from opening any executables, I have norton and it never stopped it, detected it, or removed it.

You will never be able to get it completely off. You need to wipe and reimage.
