Win32 Trojan

I scanned my computer with Systems Mechanic 6 and follow the steps afterwards but eveytime I restart my computer I STILL have the Trojan. It keep telling me that i need to Optomize and do repairs. The programme is unable to remove the 66 problems..... Can anyone help??

It could be a tricky registry thing you have to do. If you are not familiar with the process, get someone who is. Search around the net for solutions, they are out there.

Run the scan in safe mode....

Safe Mode is always a given, coupled with a decent anti-virus program not norton or mcafee.. they are garbage...

check out majorgeeks.com and click on spyware util...

I like microsofts anti-spyware proggie.... adaware is out of date so is search and destroy....

Start Up Util is a good one... :)

Yup... it use to be called giant antispyware then m$ had to stick there fingers in it.. and now is called Defender 2 after several changes

Thanks for the replys... although after reading them im still as confused as ever Husband leaves for KY 2moro so I have no choice BUT to TRY and fix it myself hummmmmmm :tap: I could always buy a NEW Comp after he leaves :whistle:

buy a MAC.... :whistle: With OS9, and you will be virus free

I doubt you can, but it would be nice.... OS X actually has vulnerbilities that has prompted hackers to write malicious code to infect the OS. The good thing is that there isnt as many floating around the web for Mac's as there is for Microsoft installed Pc's
