What about wind to methane?

I'll bet that's far more plentiful.

I need to understand how that tech works.
The wind-generated electricity is used to create hydrogen from water and the hydrogen is stored and used as a fuel to power a generator turbine. It's one of several energy storage concepts being explored to level out the ups and downs of wind and/or solar power generation.

Wouldn't another byproduct be oxygen? Recombining oxygen and hydrogen back into water, as opposed to burning hydrogen in the air, would yield lots of power.

Easier to just buy water in the grocery store. Comes in plastic bottles, by the case.
