Windchime recommendations?

My mom always loved windchimes and growing up, I always hated them. So eventually she stopped hanging them up. I know I was a selfish brat

Anyway she's been talking about getting some and I figured since Mother's Day is coming up, I'd get her a few as her present. She wants good, quality sounding chimes.. As opposed to cheap sounding if there's such a thing.

Can anyone recommend places to buy them from?

My hubby just bought me two (each slightly different in size for different sounds) because I love them too. They are really heavy duty/well built and sound marvelous... I believe he got them from Southern States in Charlotte Hall.

Here's the one I got and it sounds great. You can listen to them on the site too.

I never knew chimes could be tuned to music and be complicated. Cool! I want one! I think I would pick the medium Mozart or Pachelbel...it would be hard too decide! A bit pricey, but so beautiful. When I went into the website I got caught up in listening to a bunch of them. Oh well, now back to the everyday...dinner, laundary, etc. Thanks for the musical break!

I bought mine from Kohls, the large one is so pretty sounding and medium one they carry not so much. I think I bought the large one for around 20-30 dollars.

I'll check out SS and Kohls before I buy them off of the site Baja recommended.

I went ahead and told her what I was getting so she could give me an idea of what she liked. She likes the large ones too. One wooden, one metal.

Thanks a ton :buddies:

ArtsFest usually carries several different ones. But that won't be until September.

They really should come with a power switch so they can be turned off at night. I love them during the day, but when sleepy time comes I like it really quiet. If am trying to sleep with the windows open I really have a hard time dropping off to sleep.
