windows media maker file format....

okay i posted on here before about having trouble with this darn thing, but i solved that problem thanks to nickel i think it was... now i made a video and when i went to post on youtube it said that it dosnt support the files wmmp...Windows Movie Maker Project, and i was wondering how do i change the file type? thanks!

You either have to save the file or export the project as a .wmv or .avi file. Usually CDROM quality is a good choice. Just don't save it at a quality level that ends up being hundreds of megabytes...

uhhh... how would i do this? i cant figure out how to change it... closest i've come is going under tools then go to options. thanks!

Try a Save as...
go to the drop down box where you name the file that might say file association or file type.

Under the "file" menu...

... There ia an option to "Save Movie Fiie"

Save it to "My computer." GO on thrrugh and on the last screen ia a list of quality options.

The best quality option is to totaly avoid WMA or MP3 at any data rate and use AAC [MPEG4] at 128 kbs.
AAC is the only legit audio compression as far as psychoacoustic transparency.

192kbs is HD Audio. AAC's compression is not that good, and it's a video. If you're gonna toss something up on YouTube, it's better to have some compression (as Youtube is streaming flash).
