I don't have much experience with WMM but it may be because you are using protected filetypes, such as some wma files or the ones that iTunes uses m4p if i recall. Try using mp3s. or wavs if you have to.

ummm... i tried it from a cd, and i dont have a mp3 so i guess im skrewed, lol.
Try ripping the music from your cd to a Windows Media Player library. Then, in WMM, import that music file (should be .wma or .wav?). It's worked for me everytime.

That's what I meant..."Copy from CD", or whatever it says. The bottom line is you want the music that was on your cd to be in your library.

Where did you download them from? I think some music download programs only allow you to share the file a certain number of times. Also, the music file needs to be uncompressed. I'm thinking that with 50 songs on one CD, they're compressed?

lol, not 50 songs on one cd, like i have 50 songs saved on the computer... i just tryed my sisters laptop and she can import her saved music on to it... i just retied it on mine, copyed two songs from a cd into the library and tryed importing it and it did the same thing, the "digital rights management". I think i'll use my sis's laptop...

Yeah if you did download them from a music download service like itunes, you can still convert them to mp3 for normal use...Just need to burn an audio cd from them and then rip them to your computer...Tedious if you have a ton of songs but it works.
