Wireless Internet

There was an article in the Technology section of the Post the other day about wireless Internet.  Anybody know anything about it?  They made it sound like any dummy could set it up but they didn't give any kind of instruction on what equipment or service you'd need.

First time I heard about this was a couple of years ago, the one company I had heard about was called Ricochet Net.  It is a wireless modem system.  Not sure of baud rate but a search could get some information and as a lot of the wireless systems offer free long distance it might be great for the traveler that surfs.

I'm not too familiar with it but a co-worker has it and he said download is similar to DSL but he has to up-load via a dial-up modem.
