What is it with all these mid-20s women going after school-aged boys, and what is it about those same aged women cheating on their husbands-to-be, often right before, and occasionally the day of the wedding?

Oh, and there's another story about another teacher in trouble (in more ways that one) for having "... had baby with underage student — while on bail for sex with different boy, jurors told"

Not that men don't cheat, but somehow, holding a kind of sacred trust over the children in your care, to me, is a far larger betrayal than the marriage vows. That's bad enough.

The other thing is, the judicial system absolutely holds women to a lower standard of accountability by giving them far less time in almost every instance than they would a man in the same situation.

Yeah. If she's so sick she'd make out with an 11 year old, she is showing mental illness in other ways as well. And this guy wanted to marry her.

I think we all remember the late Mary Kay Letourneau. From wikipedia:

Letourneau pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree child rape. Her first child with Fualaau, a daughter, was born on May 29, 1997,[33] while she was awaiting sentencing.[33] The state sought to sentence her to six and a half years in prison.[34] Through a plea agreement, her sentence was reduced to six months (three of which were suspended) in the county jail and three years of sex offender treatment.[35] She was not required initially to register as a sex offender.[35] As part of her plea agreement, Letourneau could not contact Fualaau or her five children or have contact with any other minors.[4][35][36] She became the subject of an international tabloid scandal[37][38] and experienced symptoms of degraded mental health according to acquaintances.[39]

I think she was already experiencing symptoms of degrated mental health, well before she became internationally known.

Be that as it may, it looks like she was basically sentenced to 6 months, 3 of which were suspended, and didn't have to register as a sex offender or mandatory treatment. At least after this incident.

And Letorneau is not the only teacher to find herself in this circumstance. A man would have been buried in prison.
