WMJS Reborn? - 2/23 - DCRTV hears that some influential folks in southern Maryland have received an invitation to "attend a taste of local radio - a special preview for local businesses" of the new WMJS-LP (low power) at 102.1 FM. You'll recall that the WMJS calls and community-based format resided on Prince Frederick's 92.7 FM, before the frequency flipped to DC-oriented Spanish sounds (as Mega's WBZS) a few years back. The invite promises that "community radio has returned to Calvert County." The get-together is set for St. Paul's Parish Hall in Prince Frederick. More as we hear it.....
