When you don't have any tangible qualities to weaponize in the name of good press.. you have to use SOMETHING.
Look at Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson in the NBA. For years, no one said "White guy vs. Black guy." It was the best from the Celtics vs. The best from the Lakers. This rivalry lasted for years simply due to their skills and level of competition. You don't have that with the WNBA. So, they can only muster up "racism."

When the white player is being flagrantly assaulted by the black players, that's way beyond a rivalry. Plus Caitlyn Clark just got there - she shouldn't even have rivals yet. They're physically attacking her like the ghetto thugs they are, and so far the WNBA doesn't seem inclined to stop it. If one of the guys did that he'd almost certainly be fined and benched.

Agree and disagree.......I think this is all by design. It's the first real time people are actually watching that snoozefest, and it's for all the wrong reasons. But bad press is good press and they will do anything to get off the NBA's teet.
