Woman as the "lesser vessal"?

I was discussing unfaithfulness with a candidate for House of Representatives today. I told him I blamed myself for a bad marriage, and my ex-wife for cheating on me. This was his reply to that part of our conversation (with link):

The woman is the lesser vessal so that if we push them then they break.

Put pressure on and they fold.

It is not their weakness - it represents their value, link.

Now, I don't think of women as lesser in any way. What do YOU think?
