Calvert law enforcement has confirmed to The Bay Net that a woman for unknown reasons stopped her SUV while driving on the Thomas Johnson Bridge at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday, and jumped over the side into the Patuxent River.

This woman was my family and believe me everything was done that could possible be done to try to help her and prevent something like this from happening. So please when you post things like "If you know anyone contemplating suicide, do something about it. See www.suicidehotline.com/Maryland or call (800)784-2433" you're making a huge assumption, placing blame on someone other than the person that chose to do this to themselves and in turn making their family and friends feel completley helpless and horribly guilty. There is no reason for anyone in this family to feel that way because she had more support and help than she could have asked for. So please, I know reporters just can't help themselves, but don't be insensitive when posting a news story. Don't contact me for more information, you won't get it.

My Best Friend told me last night, she said she thinks she went to school with her at Calvert High school. What a shame, my prayers to the family.
