Woman Sues Over Her Rescue

Nice lady!
NEW LONDON, Conn. -- A woman is suing the town whose police divers saved her from drowning.

Barbara Connors is suing the town of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, saying she was rescued too late to prevent serious brain damage.

I say I'm not surprised. The woman sounds like a sue-happy nut and as long as our legal system makes it easy for nuts to bring nuisance suits, they'll be tying up our courts.

But this is totally different than "rescuing" someone who was deliberately trying to kill themself.

They should have let her drown.

Then maybe they could save a few bucks for guard-rails.

There was this guy in my old town that drowned. He was out in his boat fishing and his wife could see him from the window. She looked away for a second and then when she turned back around, he was gone but the boat was still going around. They think he may have had a heart attack and fell over but they never found him so they just had a funeral.

"she was rescued too late to prevent serious brain damage"

She has serious brain damage and yet is cognitive enough to have two lawsuits...

It says the 75-year-old woman has brain damage and must be cared for in a nursing home for the rest of her life.

At 75, she probably needs to be there anyway.

That's not cool.

(My dad is in his 70's)

So is my mom, but she isn't filing asinine lawsuits, either. I was just saying that the woman in the story sounds like she belongs there.
