Wondering where the seagulls are…

I am in a field today on the shores of the Potomac tilling ground so I can finish planting soybeans. There is not a single seagull in the field. There are always gulls following a disc in freshly tilled dirt! Am I that far behind in my fieldwork that they have already migrated to Mexico? Or have they gone to Ocean city for the weekend for a quick getaway? Very strange…

I often wondered how anyone managed to work the land down your way. When I was working at St. Inigoes, I always marveled at the "moisture content" of the land down that way.

Yes always a challenge, especially the last 2 years with the record amount of precip. But we always manage to get 'er dun somehow.
