Wondering Where Your Tax Rebate Is?

Lexib_

Blah.. Blah...Blah
Just got off the phone with the IRS. I still had not gotten the tax rebate and I should have gotten it by the 2nd. Found out that If you used turbo tax and had the fee deducted from your refund.... you will get a check sent to you instead of the rebate being direct deposited.........:tantrum:burning::banghead:

Hey look at it this way... if the democrats get the WH and Congress you can never look forward to a rebate again; so you will never be disappointed it didn't get there faster.

EDIT: BTW I got mine today.

Or you could look at it this way. If the democrats get in the white house, the economy will end up doing so much better and we will all have more money in our pockets, so we wont have to stalk the mailman looking for our rebate checks!

Found this under the FAQ's on irs.gov. My date was supposed to be today, but I guess it won't be until late June now.

Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested a refund anticipation loan (RAL) from my preparer. How does that affect my stimulus payment?

A. Taxpayers who use Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) or enter into any other loans or financial agreements with a tax professional, such as agreeing to have return preparation fees deducted from their refunds, cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get paper checks based on the paper check distribution schedule.

Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested my electronic filing and/or tax preparation fees be deducted from my refund. Does that affect my stimulus payment?

A. If you requested that your electronic filing or tax preparation fee be deducted from the amount of your refund, you have entered into a financial agreement with the tax preparation provider or e-file software company for a refund anticipated check (RAC). Both Refund Anticipation Checks (RACs) and Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) are bank products. The money that is deposited into your bank account comes from the financial institution associated with your electronic filing software provider or tax preparation provider, not directly from the IRS. Taxpayers who use RALs, RACs or enter into similar loans or financial agreements with their tax professional or tax software companies will not receive their economic stimulus payments by direct deposit. Instead they will get a paper check that will be issued according to the schedule that has been published for paper check distribution.

You can't actually be serious...during Clinton's administration our economy was the best it had ever been, then your hero Bush took over and it went down the crapper.

Stop listening to the the MSM, you don't think more people don't make more money than ever, have nicer cars, houses, more "toys". Just cause a handful of people are idiots and think they can afford a $5k mortgage on $3k of income of month dosen't mean the economy is bad.

We still haven't seen a negative quarter of growth since 1999 I believe. And gases prices when adjusted for inflation are at the same levels they were in 1980 when Carter (D) was in office.

:bs: Golly gee..... within 8 months Bush taking office, America was attacked and went to war. Everyone knows wars are cheap. :duh:

Did you forget about Reagan years that kicked off a decade of prosperity??

Under Carter, I remember gas lines around the block, inflation through the roof and terrorists kidnapping our boys. Carter caused me to become a republican and Reagan sealed the deal. G. H. Bush did ok as we continued to prosper and handed Clinton a cake walk.
