I went over the weekend. I actually thought it was pretty good. Of course, everyone was crying at the end (I think just knowing that it ACTUALLY happened, and that it's not just a movie).

I will wait for both to come out on DVD. I saw the trailer for WTC and I cried like someone shot me.DotTheEyes said:I saw World Trade Center opening day and thought it was a very good. Oliver Stone, the celebrated director of Born On The Fourth Of July, JFK, and Platoon, did a fantastic job of conveying the sadness and terror of 9/11 and, overall, the movie was very uplifting, sobering, and cathartic. Nicolas Cage (my favorite contemporary actor, for the record) and Maggie Gyllenhaal gave great performances. Yes, the pace could've used tightening and the movie was occasionally heavy-handed, but, overall, very good.
However, 2006 other's 9/11-themed drama, April's United 93, was far better. It's not as uplifting (WTC has a happy ending ; U93, of course, does not), but it is more hard-hitting and a tad more powerful.
