Worlds cheapest cars

I saw those things on the news the other day, half of the people were happy and the other half (probably the ones with money) were pissing and moaning about how there's going to be more pollution and more cars on the road because everyone will be able to afford one.

It will never make it here though, the US is way to strict on safety standards.

Psh, like i'm going to give up my awesome cassette player just to get better gas mileage  (they are making these cars barebone basically...for anyone that hasn't read the article..so no fancy stuff lol)

I really don't think these things would hardly sell in America...we're too spoiled with our fancy heated seats and whatnot...

BUT, something like this COULD actually sell if they have a bunch of aftermarket accessories for it so that people have completely customized versions of the same cheap cars....

just a thought.

3500. Wow. Made with the cheapest parts no less. Wonder how long the warranty lasts and what the insurance will be like.

I don't think these ####boxes are for the american market, we are pretty much maxed out. I think they are targeting places like China and India. Putting thousands of new drivers on the road will certainly doom the planet. We'll have to give up our cars and move into the cities to save urth.

Oh yee o little faith. I have a 94 Geo Metro. It ain't much of a car but it gets me around just fine. Think it cost me $8,000 new. And to tell the truth I love it. I have not done any maintenance on it to speak of, it gets good gas milage, well, it's just dependable transportation. Perhaps it isn't what others need or want but it certainly fills my needs. I've had one accident in it, running into a guard rail when cut off, and only minor repairs to the bumper were needed.

Hey, at least Nano-related deaths would be virtually non-existent.
The Nano has a two-cylinder 0.6-liter gasoline engine with 33 horsepower, giving it a top speed of about 60 mph...
Here is a photo of one.

The Nano driver would, of course, have to worry about being squished by an Escalade-driving soccer mom. She probably wouldn't even know she'd hit anything.

Yeah, you could change a flat tire by balancing the car on your hip while twisting off the nuts with a Swiss Army Knife. If the parallel parking space was too narrow, you could pick it up and push it in the space against the curb.

like they do now? lol Harder to feel/hear that you hit anything when you're on the cell phone for 30 miles.

This wouldnt be so bad if they made golf cart like roads alongside regular roads.

I would be caught in one of these things on the beltway with tractors-trailers and other heavy equipment.

That's the little baby selling in India I think. Wonder if it would stand up to one of the bulls they having running around in the streets there.
