Matthew 21:12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’”
14 The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.
16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”
17 And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night.
What would happen today? If Jesus were to go into one of the churches and throw a temper tantrum because of all the money grubbers and thieves who are infesting our churches, what would happen?
Would it make the morning news, complete with a warning "it's hard to watch"?
To be honest, to give the priests the benefit of the doubt, the children were being taught by what they saw. They were learning it's ok to misbehave in church for a just cause. Even if the cause is good, destroying property is not a good idea.... right? We wouldn't want our children singing in the temple courts and turning tables. We would have to call together the deacons and the cardinals and get the pope involved.

Jesus didn't carry a gun. He just carried a message. They didn't like His message. He didn't shoot anyone. He's God... if He really let it all go.... people would have been flying instead of just tables and coins... IMHO.
Would it make the morning news? What would be the lead? Would it be "Son of Man destroys church property" or "Son of Man entices children to sing and play in church" or "Prophet acts unprofessionally" or "Crowds watch as Prophet turns the tables" or "demon possessed bum from Nazareth makes a scene"?
Would we sip our coffee and bow our head in gloom?
Would it make the morning news?
