If you were innocent?

The police captain in charge of the investigation said there is a reason why detectives have shown up on the doorsteps of OPPD employees, some of them professionals, and requested to take swabs of their DNA.

"We're not chasing ghosts here," Capt. Mike Butera said. "We're following up on literally hundreds of leads - one of which has led us to request samples for DNA comparison from a subgroup of OPPD employees."

Sure - why not? One of the guys is obviously guilty and the managers (or whoever they are) are just playing the race card in order to keep their little rapist from being caught.

No... I wouldn't give my DNA to police to help solve a crime.

I would however give to an unbiased third party medical organization in order to help solve the crime.

Ever watch law and order or whatever crime show and the cops are like, "you'd let us (search you | search your house | take your dna | whatever) if you didn't have anything to hide?"

It misses the point.

I don't close the bathroom door because I have something to hide. I do it because I don't freakin want people in my business.

Anywho -- I wouldn't give my DNA over because they'd just database it, and my poorly parented kid would end up killing someone and they'd confuse his dna with mine and end up convicting me. No good little brat.

Especially if it was the PG police. No offense triple J (unless you're in St. Marys lake).

I'd give my DNA in a heartbeat. I guess the "No's" are afraid of government conspiracies and cloning.

Hmmm, cloning me without knowing. If you get drunk at a party and get into a circle jerk with your clone, is it masturbation or being gay?

What if they manipulated the clone and in my case, gave it another X in place of the Y and I got myself pregnant? Would the child be its own father and mother? How much would Ripley's pay me for the story? Would I be start getting emotional when my XX clones hips starting getting big and her boobs sagged?

I'm pretty sure, that you and your clone would begin to relate as sisters as time passes. Natural competition would set in.

When your clones boobs sag you will be happy as shiat!

Uncle Sam already has mine, so it wouldn't be any big deal to me to give it to the police.

I would give my DNA, I don't have anything to hide... I don't think I do anyways...

I don't like the implication that if I'm not divulging everything about myself that I have something that needs to be hidden.

Either that or your paranoid. I would opt on the side of paranoia since you seem to think MMs comment is directed at you.

I never said it was directed at me.

You're only confirming that the general consensus is that you're either weird or hiding something if you want to keep your privacy private, which is the point I thought I was alluding to when I replied to his post and made my own original comment about shows like "Law and Order." I've made a note in my journal to resume shock therapy.

Luckily, our founders decided I could keep you from knowing what sex toys I have in my drawers without a damned good reason and a court order. Of course that all went out the window with the :patriot: Patriot Act if some pseudorandom govt shmuck decides I might burn someone's bushes terroristicly with my oft-malfunctioning dildo.

And no I wouldn't care if you know about my sex toys... not that I have any.. *cough*

I'm weird for many reasons, but wanting people to stay out of my business is not one of them.
