"It will take and act of Congress" :eyebrow: I think Congress should have better things to do!

I understand the cost and training that it must take to "create" a good military dog, though I would think after being involved in an explosion, would this dog be that useful? I know they're not elephants, but we adopted a dog who still seems to "remember" her poor conditions before coming to our house...I would think the dog would deserve an "honorable discharge", to say the least, not to mention Sgt. Jamie Dana deserving to keep Rex. JMO

Read "Dog Tags of Courage" it is a great book about Military Working Dogs and their handlers. It is a great book and if you are a dog owner it will bring a tear to your eye.

This story was in the Post last week.

Thank you, come again.
I really hope she gets to keep him. Its pretty sad though that it would take an act of congress.

None of the dog handlers from VietNam got the keep their dogs when we left there. If rumors are correct, I recall hearing that none of the dogs were even permitted to come back to the states afterwards, regardless of them being "useful" or not.

If you want to talking about "wrong", that's the definition of it...
