WTF? I Have Puppies!?!

I got Misty Moon, my Lhasa Apso mix, from friends a few years back. Friends who told me she was spayed. She's been to the vet for shots etc and when they asked if she was spayed I always said yes. No one ever questioned it, much less examined her to confirm because I had no reason to believe she wasn't and I've never known her go into "heat" as long as we've had her.

I also have a male dog, Hardly. (because he HARDLY has a brain in his head) Hardly is intact too. I never worried about him because, 1, Misty was supposed to be spayed, and 2, we live too far back for him to come into contact with any other dogs.

Well guess what? Last night Misty had 4 puppies. And they all look just like Hardly. :eyebrow:


Ya live and ya learn.

Hardly now has an appointment on the 23rd to be snipped and in about 8 weeks I'll be looking for good homes for some puppies. :ohwell:

I'll post them as soon as I get them uploaded. I was a surprised Grandma but I'm a proud one. :smile: And Misty Moon is being such a good mommy.

BG has a Lhasa Apso who is 15 yeard old and almost blind and totally deaf. Please don't show her any photos of your new puppies.

If I thought I had time to properly raise another puppy and a dog for 15 years, I'd do it. If I had a fenced yard, I'd do it. Maybe I'll just get one and crate it. Seems to be a pretty popular thing to do, but my heart won't let me. Sorry if I stomped on your doggie love. I love my dog. I'm not up to raising another from a pup.
