Biden admin passes 20-year mining ban on more than 225K acres of northern Minnesota forest


Despite the supply of precious minerals in the U.S. being depleted, the Biden administration made a policy move last week that will only exacerbate the problem, according to GOP lawmakers and experts.

On Sunday, the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Department of Agriculture under President Biden announced the 20-year withdrawal of more than 225,000 acres of northern Minnesota forest land, which is home to some of the largest domestic mineral reserves.

"Joe Biden banned mining in 225,000 acres of Minnesota's Iron Range, and locked up development of taconite, copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum-group elements, and more," Stauber also said in the committee statement. "Unfortunately, this harm to our country and our future has become the norm, as this president’s goal is to put America last."

Policy expert Bedford agreed with the Republican lawmakers, claiming this move gives more power to China and other adversaries.

I don't know anything about the region being spoken of here. But I hate to see forest land being destroyed by mining. Can the mining be done without destroying the forest?
But why are these minerals so badly needed to begin with.? Because of the Biden insanity to do away with fossil fuels.
Then there is the subject of us saving our forest by not mining, but destroying the land in China and Afghanistan and digging up their countries for our crazy plan to save the environment by destroying it. And they dig their with children doing the labor and paying starvation wages to their people while their country uses the American money to build their military and make their Government rich. Money we print and send to them while increasing our debt.

This crazed objection to fossil fuels is destroying our economy, causing hardship among our citizens , and building windmills and solar panels , killing whales and birds, isn';t helping our environment it is harming it.

The war against fossil Fuel is a bitter vaccine we are being forced to swallow that doesn't work any better then the Covid vaccine that was forced on us , and it will fail and leave us weak and broke.
