XM Vs. Sirius

After years of listening to droning DJs who talk over the starts of songs and endless commercials, I installed an XM radio in my car. I chose XM because they held the promise of commercial free/DJ-free music ala the kind of music that I get from Direct TV. What I got was DJs who talk over the music and commercials!!! XM is suppossed to be commercial free, and here I am listening to commercials for Viagra, computers, real estate, business development services, etc., plus there's the same pathetic DJs telling you a bunch of crap you don't care about before each song.

Does anyone have Sirius radio, and are they actually commercial free? If so I'm switching.

I have sirius and no it is not totally commercial free but, a few of the stations I listen to do not talk over the music either.

I switched from XM to Sirrius for the programming. XM wanted to raise their rates for added programming that I could care less about. I not only put Sirrius in my truck but going to put it in my car too I like it that much.

BG and I have XM in our trucks and the house.. never noticed the commercials or too much DJ talk.. the channels we listen to we have been real happy with. WHen we had the picnic at the house, that's what we had playing all day. I LOVE the comedy channels. SIrius, the only difference is Howard Stern, and I outgrew his stupid antics when I was about 16.

The Roady2 is also REAL easy to set up on the bike when it comes time for a long ride.

I went with sirius well because thats what was in my stocking. Ace listend to mine and made the switch from XM. I love it and dont have it right this sec since its in my car and Im driving my truck. My only complaint is that I wish the traffic reports dealt with more of south of DC.

I have XM. Mostly listen to news and talk. Commercials mostly for other XM programs and PSAs. Can't get much decent over the air radio here. So either XM or Internet. Shame Rush isn't on satelite. Subscribe to his 24/7 service. Watching him on dittocam now.
For music channels, listem to XM 6 and XM 25. Never noticed many commercials of pesky DJs. Can't get my wife to like satelite, she likes WASH, mainly for DJ banter.
