Who the heck is left for them to even be considered "Lynyrd Skynyrd"? A couple of guys who carried guitar cases for them in the 70's? Pass.

I dunno think they have 3 original members left now. I posted a pic of the group on the slvfd.com site.

I remember hearing something last year on Sirius radio how the band's charter states that they have to have at least 3 original members in the line-up to call themselves "Lynyrd Skynyrd". At the time, one of the members had to miss the tour because of illness and they were down to 2. I don't know what they current situation is. I respect their desire to continue forward, but I don't think they should call themselves Lynyrd Skynyrd. They're basically a tribute band at this point, kind of like Kiss dressing up two guys as Ace Frehley and Peter Criss and trying to fool the casual observer. Back in the late 80's I saw BTO (with Randy Bachman) at a bar in downtown Roanoke VA. The group came to the bar and drank beers with us between sets, it was awesome! The club was called "Iroquois", it was sort of a smaller version of the 930 club.

I saw BTO in 1988 at the Boathouse in Norfolk. I've always felt that Skynyrd ceased after the plane crash in 77.
