I just got an automated message from DirecTV. They told me they accidently forgot to give me the discount on my bill (because their bill is combined with Verizon) and they'd be giving me 2 discounts on my next bill. I never caught the mistake.I love DirecTV!
That's like finding a 10.00 bill your back pocket, that you didn't
know was there....

Friends don't let friends watch cable.
Only have metrocast internet. Looks like Verizon DSL maybe available here finally though. Anyone know if you can have multiple free addresses with Verizon?
Only problem as such with DirecTV is that my DirecTV Tivo seems to be wearing out. Going to see if I can changeout the drive.

IP: Yes, on your side of the router. Only one DHCP assigned address on the DSL side.
Email: Yes, up to 8.

Thanks for the info. 3 better than Metrocast, though only using two. I know only one IP. Have a router.

I love DirecTV. Haven't had a problem in 4 years!
I just got it Thursday and would really love it more if I could figure the channels out
Just happier than a pig in S$$T Comcast is gone from my home.

I hate that I have been reduced to Metrocrap due to the massive trees in my area. I can't afford to have a 60+ ft. tall tree taken down. I want my satellite back!!!!

Proably like me when I switched a year ago to DirectTV from Comcast
all the channels are different, still havent learned where everything is, still sometimes have to get the guide out.

I've had DirecTV for three years now and the only channels I can remember are Foodnetwork (231) and CMT (327). I hardly even watch CMT, but for some reason I can remember it!
Waaaay back when I had cable, I knew every channel.

DirecTV has built in guide. Another thing that makes it better than cable is that the satelite channels start at 100, then all the locals are on their own, correct numbers.
Have some trees, but so far, so good. Sometimes the Hi-def don't come in, but can switch to lo-def. Hate to do that.
Of course, by DirecTV TIVO is standard def, so replaying recorded shows means low def.

I got that same call last week too. Funny thing is, they've forgotten that discount 3-4 times in the year I've had that plan and then the double discount on the next bill.
