So.

Help me understand why the county would spend all that money on cute brick median strips, then not maintain them so that weeds and trees (some of them a foot high) can grow up in the cracks and destroy them?
Because the people who decide it would be great to do these things hire people who don't care to put them in, then hire people who don't care to maintain them, then when the budget is tight they cut the people who maintain them. Then a few years later they all start from scratch, convince people how great another "renewal" project would be, spend tons of money, and make sure they get front page coverage on the Emptyprise for the ribbon cutting that just by coincidence happens just before election day.

I have too many pet peeves to list. One of them is being told that I'm easily peeved and should do something about it.

Since I followed moms footsteps so here goes...Our potatoes, tomatoes and onions were never in the fridge so when I got my own home and family that's the way it was done. There was a bowl of fresh fruit on the table to grab from, so ditto.

Some that others think odd but I do... Peanut butter wasn't refrigerated nor pancake syrup, never had a problem of any kind.

:coffee:
Leave the butter out also....I do.

Surely you jest ...
Leave the butter out also....I do.
Yeppers on Land-o-Lakes or any store bought. Our homemade in fridge because would mold quickly due to having no preservatives. We did use both at times though. No margarine in my moms house. :)

Good morning all.

The 10's of thousands of dollars that Calvert County (and Charles for that matter) piss away having graduation at Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro is one of my many pet peeves.

It took two weeks worth of watching over a friends chickens while they were on vacation (in return we got the eggs)

my daughter, age 7, helps the old man, Duke, up the st feed the chickens, in return she gets a couple eggs a week.

she WILL NOT eat an egg at home, unless it is from up the street they are Brown Eggs, and have a darker yoke - and SHE Knows the Difference

I tried to fool her one day

*arms crossed - tapping foot*

Megan: 'dad those are not dukie eggs'

Me: yeah they are

Megan: 'no they aren't dark enough' ...
