Yes, America Faces a Threat From White Nationalists. No, More Laws Won't Fix That.

Why is it so difficult to call out what's going on now? I'm not blaming the president for recent violence, although I wish he would knock off the incendiary rhetoric about immigrants. Everyone should tone down the hysterics and anger, which only motivates the nutcases among us.

But the president and some of his supporters have a blind spot about white-nationalist terror, just as the former president had a blind spot about Islamic radicalism. The president's recent talk was more presidential than usual, as he condemned "racism, bigotry and white supremacy," but then he undermined his points with subsequent Twitter tirades.

There's clearly an energized group of self-radicalized white nationalists who "take inspiration from prior acts of vicious mayhem and cheer high body counts on Internet message boards," wrote National Review's Rich Lowry. He called on the FBI to treat these "domestic terrorists and subversives" in the way that they crushed what was once America's most notorious hate group, the Ku Klux Klan.

Using existing laws to stamp out potentially violent extremists is a better starting point than passing new laws that mostly target law-abiding citizens. That means acknowledging that people who kill people with guns often are motivated by twisted ideologies. It's time to confront those ideologies, whether they emanate from the white-nationalist right, Islamic radical movements or any other fever swamp.

Am I to understand that these kinds of people - that there are a LOT more of them now than there have been in the past? That somehow with all the weird groups in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's - that NOW these guys are dangerous, in a way they never were before?

I don't believe it. There's always been crazy people building bomb shelters, hoarding weapons and preparing for the Russians or Chinese to invade. There's always been crazy people willing to kill over the dumbest stuff. Remember that Manson did his killing because he wanted to kick off a race war? There's always been nuts like him.

The difference is only the press wants to talk about it like it's some kind of new threat. They're full of crap.

Nope

There are an estimated 10 - 25,000 White Supremacists NATIONALLY

Even in the 90's there were more in single states .... the left needs a bogie man

So;

'Nazi's'
White Nationalist's
White Supremacist's

are all the same

Return of the Violent Black Nationalist

On July 7, 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson ambushed Dallas police officers during a peaceful protest against police brutality, killing five officers and wounding nine others. Ten days later, Gavin Eugene Long shot six officers, killing three, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Both Johnson and Long were reportedly motivated by their strong dislike of law enforcement, grievances against perceived white dominance, and the recent fatal police shootings of unarmed black men under questionable circumstances, specifically the shooting deaths of Alton Sterling of Baton Rouge and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Although many Americans were understandably upset and angry over the deaths of Sterling and Castile, killing others as retribution is certainly not justified. Authorities would later learn that Johnson and Long had ties to black hate groups.

Are white nationalists killing people in Chicago ,Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Washington DC?

Is there any more people consumed by hate in this country than the members of the Congressional Black caucus?

Where is this White Supremacist Congressional White Caucus.

Every white politician I see including President Trump now is busy catering and pandering to the Black Nationalist,Black Preference groups.
